This project was for their Fall Fashion Book.

At Sharp Kids we are passionate about providing our children with a solid foundation.

We encourage our children to use their five senses and develop their curiosity by exploring different materials in different ways.

By incorporating their own bodies in this process, they learn in an unique and experiential way.

Sharp Kids honours the Finnish Education principles (ranked best in the world.)

This model combines emotional intelligence with academic competence without putting pressure on children to compete and outdo each other.

Sensory integration

HART= Empathy & Belonging

We take an inclusive approach that promotes cooperation amongst all children. The teachers carefully design activities that develop team work and social skills where children are encouraged to help each other. Tolerance and understanding of others are an important part of our learning process. Children are taught to share and play together.

The Arts

“The arts” is the collective term used for music, dance, visual arts, and drama. It plays a very important role in communication and the expression of ideas. Each of these disciplines involves the use of symbols (expression, movement, gesture, image, and sound) to convey meaning. The use of the arts strenghens all skills necessary for children to become school ready.

Readiness

Learning readiness is a process that starts very early in life. A child`s language and listening ability plays a very important role in becoming school ready.

We take time to understand what young children express through gesture or words and use fantasy play, songs and nursery rhymes to help children build on their vocabulary and pronunciation.

When teachers take this time, children learn that their ideas and thoughts are important and of interest to others.

LEARNING THROUGH PLAY

Our environment, highly qualified staff and lovely facilities allows us to provide a child-centred haven that inspires creativity, discovery, exploration and problem solving through play-based activities.

PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT

Parents are the most important people in a child’s life. We strive to honor this relationship and make it even stronger by encouraging parents to be part of the school journey.

Physical development

and movement

The natural process of early childhood learning and development begins with the body and follows a natural order. Without physical development a child cannot become independent. Movement primes the brain for learning, fostering the neural pathways that form the foundations for cognitive, physical, emotional and spiritual learning.
